Best Buds

When I put Avarie down to sleep last night, I put her doll next to her sitting against the edge facing her, so she would feel like she wasn't alone. She chatted for about 20 minutes to herself (or maybe the doll), and then all was quiet. I went to see if she was asleep and this is what I found...
She had pulled her little doll over to lay next to her. I had to run out of the room before I burst laughing. We snuck back in to get a quick pic. I am glad she likes her dollie :)

Chuckles :)

We finally were able to get some footage of our Little Miss Giggles. This video is near the end of her laugh attack, but it is still adorable. She is so fun to play with!

TACKY

I always look forward to the Superbowl each year for 2 reasons. The half-time show, and the commercials. Many of the commercials were pretty funny this year, but often there is a dud thrown in there. This particular commercial is the most terrible, horrible, no good, very bad commercial I have ever seen. Every time it came on, my brain almost exploded because of its idiocracy. Here is a link to the extended version. There are too many absurdities to even list. Take a gander, you WON'T be disappointed...

I guess since it costs like a billion dollars to even get your commerical aired during the Superbowl, the funds for quality entertainment dwindled. These poor football legends....how mortifying. They must be desperate for some money or endorsements or something. Tacky beyond all reason. Please enjoy.

XOXO

Here's our teeny Valentine!
Bennett and I had a very enjoyable Valentine's this year. On Saturday we had some wonderful friends watch Avarie so we could sneak out on a date by ourselves! Woo hoo! We went to one of our fave places, P.F. Changs (aka Changs or Chang-a-langs) for some dinner and then to an arcade place for games. Bennett and I became addicted to this coin game (probably because you got the most tickets from it). Once our money ran out we exchanged the tickets for some QUALITY prizes. I picked out a domino game and Bennett picked a hackey-sack and yoyo. Hahaha good times. It's as if we never grew up :)

On Sunday I was in charge of breakfast and Bennett in charge of dinner. I made PINK Belgian pecan waffles - delish. Bennett gave me a coupon for a day at the salon and a new Friends season. I had already used the salon coupon on Saturday, which was HEAVEN. I gave Bennett and new tie and tickets to go to an Air Show in April.

Bennett chose hamburgers and fries with dipping sauces for dinner (he is really good at the grill) and red velvet cupcakes for dessert. Yum!

We hope everyone had a fun celebration!

The Stats -

Avarie had her 4 month check up today...I can't believe she is getting so old. Here are a few updates on our cute little bean :)
1. Weight: 15 lbs. 7 oz (90th percentile)
2. Length: 24 inches (75th percentile)

Her length is slowing down a bit from her last appointment, but her weight is a constant! Her chubby thighs are so squeezy and gushy - here is a pic to prove it.
3. Avarie has graduated from sleeping with her arms in a "touchdown" position to resting on the back of her head. She cups her little hands around her hair - adorable. Ahhh the life.

4. Finally, she is QUITE the sassy girl. Her new nicknames include sassy mama or sassafras. She is very determined and likes her way. She always wants to be standing, and if I try to put her in her bumbo or swing she gets rigormortis or something and becomes stiff as a board, which makes it impossible to get her in. She therefore gets her way to stand a little longer, and gives a little coo and giggle when she does. Funny stinker. She is so hilarious to play with :)
