Busy Weekend!

This past weekend Bennett and I got to "play house" for a few days. Mom and Dad Larsen headed to Utah with Reece for 2 weeks and our sister-in-law Bonnie flew home to Maryland for a weekend getaway for her husband's (Alan) graduation. So Bennett and I got some practice at being Mom and Dad :) We watched our niece Hadley and nephews Cooper and Grant. It was sure BUSY but we had a lot of fun. Hadley is such a smart girl and LOVES anything princess and girly. She loves to walk around the house in my high heels and is often wearing a princess dress :) Cooper is such a funny little thing and loves to snuggle (or "hold you" in his words). My new favorite words he says are "dur-dur" (turtle) and "ta-tu" (thank you). He calls Bennett "Menet" and me "Nenna". What a cutie :) Grant is just living the baby life sleeping and eating. He definately likes to be snuggled most of the day and has the most adorable features. Below are some pics of us decorating cupcakes. Yes, they were pink cupcakes with pink frosting....what else would I pick??? :)

The little bakers hard at work putting on their sprinkles

I think they ate more frosting and sprinkles while decorating than were put on the cupcakes

Cooper flashin' his grin

For Father's Day, I gave Bennett tickets for us to go see a Texas Rangers game. He was pretty excited! We love to go to sporting events together :) He was wearing a bow-tie from church made out of M&M's...it did not last a bow-tie for long. I made him Manicotti, Caesar salad and garlic bread for dinner with the usual German chocolate cake for dessert.

And here is a recent belly pic...22 1/2 weeks!! Woo-hoo!! Lil' Moomoo has been kicking and wiggling around my belly, especially at night. I've decided she is practing her cheer moves :)

DANCE, Dance, dance

"What's that I hear???? That's right, it's the HOT TAMALE TRAIN!!!! WOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!"
Mary Murphy, So You Think You Can Dance Judge

This is the kind of judging advice that I listen to every Wednesday night. When the clock strikes 7, my life is turned over to the most incredible and fascinating television creation, "So You Think You Can Dance". Some might call me obsessed, but I think of it as being anxiously engaged in a rhythmic learning experience. Where else are you going to find so many styles of professional choreographed dances at one time? I seriously look forward to this show for MONTHS. Actually, as soon as the previous season has ended, I am already counting down to the next one. Bennett can attest to this...he has heard me talk about how excited I am for quite some time now. And now, the season is here. My life drastically improves during the months of May, June and July because of this epic reality masterpiece.

Pregnancy Perks

As I was complaining to myself one day about how sick I felt due to pregnancy, I decided that I was becoming one of those people that enjoyed throwing a pity party for themselves. Honestly, there has to be SOME good mixed in with my nausea and throwing up. So, I sat myself down and decided to make a list of the perks of pregnancy. I will share a few thoughts with you...

Why I LOVE Being Pregnant :)

1. I have a valid excuse for an expanding waistline.
2. I have a reason to look at baby clothes, books, and accessories online and in stores for extended periods of time.
3. I can take naps whenever I feel like it and not feel lazy for being so tired.
4. I get spoiled (even more than before!!) like a Princess from Bennett.
5. And most of all why I LOVE being pregnant....for the first time in my life since junior high, I AM NOT ON A DIET!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! (Sad, I know, that this is the biggest perk - hehehe)

Our little girl (or Lil' Moomoo as we sometimes refer to her as) is growing and doing well. I thank her for allowing me all the wonderful perks that I have mentioned :)
