7 Brothers, 7 Eagles Scouts

While the Larsen family was gathered, Bennett's youngest brother Reece received his Eagle Scout award. What an accomplishment! He worked very hard at a local Elementary school sprucing up their playground. He painted a giant map of the world on the blacktop...it turned out really great! The Court of Honor was very special, and what a joy/relief for Bennett's parents that ALL seven brothers have achieved this rank. Way to go, Reece! We are so proud of you :)

Bennett's dad and brothers (minus one) at the Court of Honor. What a good looking group of Larsen boys!! :)

Welcome Home Elder Larsen!

Bennett's brother, Chase, returned home in August from the Colombia Bogota Mission. He was a wonderful missionary and we are so proud of his accomplishment! All of Bennett's brothers, except for Alan who is with his family in Germany, were able to be here for a weekend of fun. It was good to see everyone and enjoy some yummy food, games and laughs!

It was a late night for Avarie at the airport...we woke her up at 10 pm to be at the airport for Chase's arrival at 11:00. We were so glad to be able to be there!

Chase provided an evening of Colombian culture for us and shared some great mission experiences.

Bennett loves to arm wrestle. He challenged anyone that was up for it...here are just a few of his many competitors :) We are sad Chase was only here for a few days...now he is back to school at BYU. It was a great experience to welcome him home!

Bringin' the Travel Channel to Life...

This summer we had the opportunity to visit TWO places featured on the Travel Channel's Man vs. Food show. First was Schmidt's Sausage Haus, known for all their delicious sausages. Ever since we saw the episode featuring this restaurant, Bennett has been determined to taste it for himself. We were able to fulfill this desire when we visited our friends Mallory and Jimmy for 2 days. And yes, it delivered. Pure German deliciousness.

The second place we were able to come upon was Round Rock Donuts near Austin, TX. We visited Bryce (Bennett's brother) and Katie for a weekend and sampled the baked (and fried and frosted) delicacy. These donuts give a whole new meaning to the phrase "everything's bigger in Texas". Yee-haw :)

We hope to visit many more famous food joints in the future as a family :)
