Dinner at the Feeding Trough....
...er, I mean, buffet! For our date this weekend Bennett and I decided to go to a chinese food buffet. Once we got there, we remembered why we rarely ever go to buffet's. The food was actually pretty good, but the environment was like being at an African watering whole during a drought. FEEDING FRENZY. People were mounding their plates like it was their last supper. One woman had a "to-go" box and it was brimming so high it wouldn't even begin to close. And we wonder why America is overweight. Yikes. This got us on the topic of church potlucks. We laughed as we discussed how the first 20 people in line (usually unaccompanied children) take 80% of the food, leaving behind the carrot jello and mystery casserole that only the families that prepared them are eating. There is always the one family that forgets about the potluck and grabs a bucket of KFC on their way to the church, which is inevitably snatched up by the first 5 people. Also, has anyone else ever noticed that chinese food buffet's always have the word "super" or "jumbo" in the name of their restaurant?? Must be an unspoken chinese restaurant code. We are still waiting to pass by a "Super Jumbo Panda Sumo Buffet". That will be the day. To give credit to the restaurant, we were please with the selection. However, we will NEVER go on a Friday night rush again.

Where else could you find any kind of buffer other than America? The idea of paying $5 to eat your weight in chow mein...hahaha.
haha. so so true.
Lamont and I feel the same way about buffets. Generally the food is good, but nothing is great! And they're not cheap to make up for all those overeaters. I love the pics below!
